Hawkes Bay Veterinary Urgent Care & After Hours Clinic – Hastings, North Island Are you calm under pressure, enjoy helping people, and love working in a supportive team? We're looking for a friendly, reliable, and organised Customer Service Representative to join our busy after-hours veterinary clinic. At Hawke's Bay Urgent Care & After-Hours Veterinary Clinic (HBAH), we provide emergency and urgent veterinary care for companion animals when local veterinary clinics are closed. We support pets and their owners through some of their most stressful moments, and our reception team plays a vital role in ensuring every client feels welcomed, informed, and cared for. About the role As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll be the welcoming face and reassuring voice of HBAH. No two shifts are the same, and you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and excellent customer service are essential. Key responsibilities Answering phone calls and assisting clients Scheduling and managing appointments Processing payments and handling accounts Greeting clients and their pets Providing administrative support to the veterinary team Maintaining accurate client records About you Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organisational and multitasking abilities Confident with computer systems and data entry Able to remain calm and professional in emergency situations Previous reception or customer service experience preferred Hours We can offer flexibility for the right person. 20–34 hours per week, depending on your availability and preferences.
