Warehouse Supervisor (2IC)

The Warehouse Supervisor is the second-in-charge at our Auckland Distribution Centre where we import, warehouse, and distribute our glasswool & polyester insulation products for North Island supply. You will be customer-facing and “hands on” doing what needs to be done, while leading and motivating your warehousing team to ensure our customers get what they want, when they want it. You will oversee all daily warehouse operations, ensuring standard operating procedures are being followed, and where the Health & Safety of our staff and visitors is paramount. You will coordinate in-coming shipments of product from overseas suppliers, and inter-branch transfers from our Ngaruawahia factory. You will process and coordinate customer orders, and you will plan and coordinate the delivery and pick-up of orders placed by our North Island customers. You will ensure accurate management of stock, coordinating cycle counting, and maintaining an efficient, clean, and well organised warehouse operations that shows our pride. You will support the Warehouse Manager with managing branch staffing, utilising temporary staff to address labour shortfalls as/when necessary, and with a focus on efficiency, productivity, customer service, and a positive team culture. You will also help oversee and coordinate safety, certifications, and servicing for vehicles and equipment, and maintain company property in clean and safe operating condition. The Auckland Distribution Centre is an accredited MPI Transitional Facility so it is critical that this certification is maintained and the flow and processing of incoming containers is efficiently managed. You will ensure procedures are followed for stock rotations, and the safe stocking and storage of all product lines. You and your team will also follow processes to ensure our stock database is “live” and always accurate. The timely and accurate processing of sales orders, DIFOT, operational paperwork, time sheets, compliance requirements, and reporting will be a key measures of your success.
