CarbonScape Ltd – Riverlands, South Island Demand for our world-first sustainable biographite battery material is accelerating globally. To support this growth, we are expanding our New Zealand biographite production facility near Blenheim and are looking for a Pilot Plant Operator to join our team. As the newest pilot plant operator in our culturally diverse and motivated team, you will play a key role in producing consistent, high-quality battery materials for our international partners and new customers. The position Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role and responsibilities will include: Operating production equipment in our pilot facility to produce consistent, high-quality battery materials for our international partners and new customers Handling chemicals and materials, including hands-on preparation, measuring, and feeding of raw materials and processing agents such as catalysts. Collecting operating data to support the ongoing process design and development On the job learning and development to understand and optimise each equipment item Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities Supporting the production team in striving for operational excellence and the safe, reliable and predictable production of quality battery raw materials. Education, proficiency and experience Our new team member will have: An NZCA Level 4 qualification (or equivalent or higher) or a minimum of three years’ relevant experience. Strong attention to detail – a mindset and keen eye for delivering quality work every time A willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards new challenges A drive to contribute towards team objectives A current first aid certificate and forklift licence would be advantageous.
