Mason Engineers (NZ) Ltd - Timaru, South Island We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team on a major civil construction project through to June 2027. This role will act as the primary site administrator, ensuring contractors, subcontractors, and project personnel are delivering on their commitments and maintaining compliance with project requirements. This is a coordination and oversight role rather than a decision-making position. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to monitor progress, maintain site standards, and support the safe and efficient delivery of works. Key responsibilities Act as the day-to-day site representative and primary point of contact on site. Track site activities and follow up on outstanding actions. Support project administration and documentation requirements. Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture. Ensure site personnel comply with health and safety procedures and project requirements. Coordinate communication between contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Assist with identifying and resolving site issues by escalating matters to the appropriate project personnel. About you Previous experience in a Site Supervisor, Foreman, or similar site-based role. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and work streams. Sound understanding of health and safety requirements within a construction environment. Current Site Safe or equivalent health and safety certification (desirable). Experience on water infrastructure projects (desirable). Experience with contractor coordination and site administration (desirable). Strong reporting and record-keeping skills. Competitive hourly rate of $45 per hour.
