Job Description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Help turn strategy into lasting organisational change. For 130 years, Nurse Maude has cared for New Zealanders. Innovation has always been part of our DNA, and we’re continuing to evolve how we work and how we deliver care. We’re looking for an experienced Programme Lead to lead complex, organisation-wide programmes that will help shape what comes next. This is not simply about delivering projects. You’ll take significant business opportunities from early thinking and design through to implementation and measurable outcomes – bringing people, functions and perspectives together around a shared purpose and creating the momentum to move forward together. What success looks like: Strategy becomes reality You’ll turn complex business opportunities into clear programmes of work – creating shared understanding of where we’re going, why it matters and what it will take to get there. People come together around a shared purpose You’ll connect leaders and teams across all areas of the organisation – creating alignment, navigating different perspectives and ensuring decisions work for the organisation as a whole. Change is shaped with people, not for them You’ll actively bring staff, leaders, consumers and whānau into the process, building ownership and ensuring different perspectives meaningfully influence programme design and decisions. New ways of working stick You’ll look beyond programme delivery to what works in practice – ensuring new service models, operating approaches and ways of working are practical, connected and sustainable. We see the value You’ll define success from the outset, build credible investment cases and ensure benefits are measured and realised – not simply promised. You’ll thrive here if: You’re someone who can bring people together and create clarity in complexity. You build trust, listen well and understand that lasting organisational change rarely comes from one function or one perspective. You can create a shared sense of purpose across diverse teams, work through competing priorities and build the ownership needed to turn good thinking into sustainable action. You’re credible with executives and governance groups, while equally comfortable working alongside operational and frontline teams. You know when to lead, when to influence and when to create the space for others to shape the answer. You’ll bring significant experience leading complex, multi-workstream strategic programmes and an enterprise‑wide perspective – seeing the connections between people, services, process, technology and organisational capability. Experience leading service model evolution and/or operating model redesign would be highly desirable. We’re particularly interested in people who have helped organisations re‑imagine service offerings in complex environments, brought diverse groups together around the future state, and successfully carried that thinking through to implementation. Health, aged care or community services experience would be valuable, but isn’t essential. This is an opportunity to work across Nurse Maude on programmes that matter – bringing people together to reshape how we work so we can deliver simpler, more connected and sustainable care for the communities we serve. If you know how to bring people together and turn ambitious strategy into meaningful, lasting change, we’d love to hear from you.
