Health Hawkes Bay – Hastings, North Island We are seeking an experienced Quality Lead to join our Provider Enablement team. Health Hawke’s Bay – Te Oranga o Te Matau-a-Māui is an established Primary Health Organisation (PHO), within the Hawkes Bay. We work in partnership with General Practices to improve health outcomes and life expectancy across Hawke’s Bay, particularly for Māori and other under-served groups. Key role accountabilities include: Support Practices to Achieve and Maintain RNZCGP Foundation Standard & Cornerstone Accreditation Assist practices to successfully gain and maintain RNZCGP Foundation Standard and Cornerstone accreditation. Help embed equity-focused modules and standards into practice improvement plans. Support Quality Improvement & Assurance Across the Network Provide guidance and leadership on quality improvement and assurance. Share practical resources, tools, insights, and best practice solutions that elevate quality across the network. Implement & administer quality improvement systems, frameworks, and processes for contracted clinical programmes. Support providers to deliver care that is safe, effective, evidence based, culturally responsive, and resource efficient. Monitor progress on audit/accreditation recommendations and report on this. Support the coordination of internal HHB clinical governance activities, documentation, and reporting. Skills and Experience 5 - 7 years’ experience in a quality improvement role or in primary care with responsibility for achievement of RNZCGP Foundation (and Cornerstone) accreditation. Strong capability in quality improvement methodologies, Lean/CQI, and systems thinking. Excellent relationship-building skills, digital literacy, and confidence with data analysis. Experience in General Practice in New Zealand. Sound knowledge of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to growing your skills in this area. About the Role In this role, you will be central to guiding general practices within Hawkes Bay to meet their accreditation requirements and strengthen quality care and service improvement. Key role accountabilities include: Support Practices to Achieve and Maintain RNZCGP Foundation Standard & Cornerstone Accreditation Assist practices to successfully gain and maintain RNZCGP Foundation Standard and Cornerstone accreditation. Skills and Experience To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in primary care accreditation and quality improvement, combined with a commitment to driving excellence in patient care and service delivery. We are looking for candidates who have: 5 - 7 years’ experience in a quality improvement role or in primary care with responsibility for achievement of RNZCGP Foundation (and Cornerstone) accreditation. Strong capability in quality improvement methodologies, Lean/CQI, and systems thinking. Excellent relationship-building skills, digital literacy, and confidence with data analysis. Experience in General Practice in New Zealand. You will have a sound knowledge of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and be an advocate of our Ka Hikitia strategy and a commitment to growing your skills in this area.
