Job Description
Stopping Violence Dunedin – Dunedin, South Island Key responsibilities Assessment and working with people who have used violence Facilitate non-violence and/or safety programmes About you A degree-level qualification in the field of psychotherapy, counselling, social work or psychology with at least 4 years experience in assessment and working with people who have used violence (preferred) OR experience within the FV/SV sector (essential) Knowledge of family violence, its dynamics, and effects on women, children and families and an understanding of CEP Sound frameworks or models of practice relating to issues of family violence, AoD, and care and protection Professional body membership or ability to gain membership High level of self-awareness and commitment to supervision An understanding of government and community structures and services Excellent communication, counselling and risk analysis skills Culturally competent, take a team approach and able to develop community connections Right to work in New Zealand Ability to undergo police vetting and additional checks About us Stopping Violence Dunedin is an organisation working in the family violence sector across Dunedin, Otago Corrections Facility, Milton, Balclutha, and Gore and welcome applications from anyone looking to facilitate programmes in any or all of these locations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
