Job Description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Kaiauaha | Creative — Advertising (Copy and Concept Focus) Hemisphere Corporation Sdn. Bhd – Wellington Central, North Island At Hemisphere, we create work that helps people live healthier, safer and better lives. We’re a proudly Aotearoa owned, independent full-service advertising agency with offices in Te Whānganui-a-Tara Wellington and Tauranga Moana. This role is based in our Wellington tari which we share with our partner Big River Creative. We work with organisations tackling some of Aotearoa’s biggest challenges — from health and wellbeing to social change and community outcomes. Plus a range of exciting commercial clients. We believe creativity has the power to shift thinking, change behaviour and create positive impact. And we’re looking for a Kaiauaha (Creative) to join our whānau. Reo Māori and strong connections to te ao Māori would really level up your application — it’s something we value highly. Reach out to our Pae Ārahi, Te Awanui Reeder if you want to know more. If that’s not you, we still want to hear from you. The opportunity This isn’t a content role. It’s not a comms role either. We want an advertising creative — someone who chases the idea behind the idea, then finds the words to make it land. You turn insight into thinking that connects with people and moves them to act. You’ll help build campaigns from the first spark to the final line — writing headlines, shaping creative territories, working shoulder to shoulder with creatives, media specialists, project managers and cultural advisors, and making work that’s strategically sharp and creatively brave. Depending on your experience, you may take the lead on projects or work alongside senior kaimahi and strategists as you continue to grow your craft. About Hemisphere Our work is grounded in a Tiriti-dynamic approach, so a creative who already brings te ao Māori and kaupapa Māori experience will feel right at home here. If you're still growing that capability and genuinely committed to it, we still want to hear from you. You'll have talented people around you, and we expect everyone here to keep learning. Great ideas come from diverse teams and real collaboration. We're building a place where different perspectives, experiences and worldviews are valued — where people support each other, challenge each other, and care about the work. Our values guide everything we make: Whakapuāwai (growth) — we flourish as individuals, a collective and a community Auahatanga (creativity) — we dream, express and achieve in everything we do Whanaungatanga (connection) — we learn, understand and complement each other to deliver together Manaakitanga (respect) — we give and receive support, generosity and kindness Whakaihiihi (passion) — we bring enthusiasm and the drive to be the best we can be The work we do — and don’t We don’t sell alcohol, we don’t promote gambling, and we don’t market fast food. We simply don’t do that. Our creativity goes towards work that helps people and communities. If that’s the kind of work you want your name on, we’ll get along. You’ll be great at: Cracking creative concepts and campaign ideas — not just executing them Writing headlines, taglines and campaign copy that earn attention Turning audience insight into creative thinking Bringing energy and curiosity to the whiteboard Giving designers creative direction that makes the idea stronger Thinking about audiences, behaviour and the outcome we’re chasing Presenting your thinking so a room gets it What you’ll bring At least two years in an agency creative team — this is a craft role, and we want someone who’s already been in the thick of it A portfolio of commercial work: real campaigns, commissioned by clients, that made it out into the world Work that’s stretched across formats — video, poster and digital. Digital matters Writing that stands out, and craft you’re proud of Values that line up with ours A real plus: reo Māori and connections to te ao Māori — they’ll level up your application and help you connect with the communities we work for. Not you yet? We still want to hear from you — and if you’re on the journey, tell us about it. We love people committed to growing.
