Senior Advisor Learning Quality – Christchurch – Fixed-Term Fire and Emergency New Zealand – Christchurch, South Island This Senior Advisor Learning Quality position is a fixed term position to be based out of nearest FENZ office or training centre in - Wellington, Auckland, Rotorua, Christchurch or another city. As the Senior Advisor Learning Quality, you will: Provide a quality perspective to all aspects of training- design, development, delivery, evaluation and review Take leadership responsibility for managing the moderation workflow system, identify and implement improvements to the assessment and moderation system and support the capability development of assessors and moderators Identify and implement improvements to the assessment and moderation system and support the capability development of assessors and moderators Work in collaboration with other Learning Quality Advisors and support the Manager Learning Quality in providing quality assurance reporting to the Learning and Development Leadership Team Provide input into the development and review of the learning and development QMS Monitor and support Compliance to the QMS, NZQA and WDC requirements and other relevant organisational and legislative requirements Provide coaching and guidance to the advisors, trainers and senior trainers to uplift the quality of training and assessment in the directorate This is a fixed-term role starting ASAP through to 30 June 2027 Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role: Solid experience in the education and vocational training sector as a team leader or other position of authority Knowledge and experience of working within NZQA and Workforce Development Council frameworks and leading quality assurance activities Proficient in Excel and able to use excel to maintain and monitor moderation processes and data Experience in course/programme designing and integrating quality into the end-to-end process of course design, development, delivery and evaluation A sound understanding of assessment and experience in developing assessment tools Strong communication skills and experience in adopting a wide range of styles, techniques, and tools to communicate with key stakeholders and the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will: Strong work ethic, commitment to continuous improvement, openness to new ideas and creative approaches to problem solving Have a genuine passion for learning assessment and quality is essential and keeping up with current trends in this space is important The salary range for this role is $99,326 – $110,362 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
