Car Sales Person / Finance specialist

Drive Now Motors is seeking an experienced Car Sales Person / Finance Specialist to join our dynamic sales team at our Otahuhu Auckland dealership. This is a full-time position that combines sales excellence with financial expertise, offering you the opportunity to guide customers through both vehicle selection and financing options. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, building lasting customer relationships, and ensuring every client leaves our showroom satisfied with their purchase and financing arrangement. What you'll be doing Greeting and qualifying potential customers, understanding their vehicle needs, budget constraints, and preferences Conducting comprehensive product knowledge demonstrations and test drives to showcase vehicle features and benefits Negotiating sales terms and closing deals whilst maintaining profitability targets Presenting and explaining finance and insurance options to customers in a clear and persuasive manner Processing financial applications, credit assessments, and paperwork to facilitate vehicle purchases Managing customer data and maintaining accurate records within our sales management system Collaborating with internal finance teams to expedite approval processes and resolve customer queries Achieving individual and team sales targets whilst maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings Building long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals Staying current with vehicle inventory, pricing, competitor offerings, and market trends What we're looking for Proven track record in automotive sales or retail sales environments, ideally with 2+ years' experience Strong understanding of vehicle finance, consumer credit, and lending principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse clientele Results-driven mentality with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets Competence in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Sound knowledge of motor vehicle features, specifications, and financing options available in the New Zealand market Strong negotiation skills and ability to identify creative solutions to close sales Reliable, professional, and presentable appearance with a positive attitude Full New Zealand driver's licence and eligibility to conduct test drives Preferably, experience in finance administration or knowledge of financial compliance requirements What we offer At Drive Now Motors, we reward excellence and invest in our people.
