About the role We're seeking a Trade Qualified Maintenance Fitter to join a busy production team. You'll be responsible for keeping machinery running smoothly through fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and fast breakdown repairs. Job Details Immediate start Based in Mangere Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm $30 to $35 an hour (depending on experience) 2 month assignment Duties Carry out mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics Perform planned and preventative maintenance tasks Repair production machinery breakdowns promptly Replace bearings, belts, chains, and worn components Assemble and install kit-set equipment Complete basic fabrication and welding tasks Read and follow mechanical drawings and instructions Use hand and power tools safely in NZ work standards Skills & Experience Trade Qualified: Level 4 or equivalent NZ Cert in Mechanical Eng. (Maintenance) or equivalent 3+ years' maintenance fitting experience Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills Safe, competent use of hand and power tools in NZ Requirements Must pass pre-employment checks ie. drug test, MOJ report Must have two contactable work references Must be eligible to work in NZ Must be available for the full two month assignment About the company/Culture Join a well-established business that values reliability, teamwork, and practical problem-solving.
