Required Skills & Essential Qualifications: Proven expertise in colorectal surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work effectively in a busy hospital environment Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with patients thoughtfully Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in surgical practice Demonstrated ability to prioritize needs and adapt to changing clinical situations Must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) Nice to Have Skills: Experience in laparoscopic or advanced colorectal procedures Familiarity with multidisciplinary cancer care teams Certification in relevant professional development or quality improvement initiatives Knowledge of current best practices and innovative surgical techniques Preferred Experience: Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in a surgical or colorectal specialty setting Proven capabilities in clinical reasoning, case prioritization, and escalation processes Demonstrated teamwork in multidisciplinary healthcare environments Evidence of ongoing professional development, including audits, teaching, or QI projects Other Requirements: Eligibility to work in New Zealand without restrictions Flexibility to participate in on-call and on-site rotations as required Successful completion of standard onboarding and compliance checks #J-18808-Ljbffr
