Customer Service and Sales Administrator - Fixed Term This is a fixed-term position providing parental leave cover, based at our Nelson manufacturing facility. Switch Lighting is a New Zealand designer and manufacturer of architectural LED lighting, and our Customer Service & Sales Administrator plays an important role in supporting our customers and wider team. This is a varied, hands-on role providing responsive and practical customer solutions, alongside sales order processing and operational administration, while working closely with our Sales, Production and Stores & Dispatch teams. Key responsibilities Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate product and order information. Provide practical customer solutions, using sound problem-solving skills and an understanding of the sales process. Process customer purchase orders accurately in our ERP system and ensure relevant documentation is provided to Production and Dispatch. Keep customers informed on the progress of their orders and proactively resolve or escape any issues. Work closely with our Lighting Consultants and Sales Representatives to help deliver a great customer experience. Assist with quoting, pricing queries, indent orders, export documentation and other sales administration as required. Provide hands-on support to our Stores & Dispatch team during busy periods and for leave cover. About you Previous experience in customer service, sales administration, order processing or a similar role. Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning ERP and product systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Confident working with numbers, pricing and product information. A practical problem solver with a positive, can-do approach. A genuine customer-first attitude. A strong team player who is happy to roll up their sleeves and help wherever required.
