Ballance Agri-Nutrients – Mount Maunganui, North Island Contract 1d ago , from Ballance Agri-Nutrients Ltd ESG Analyst (Part-Time, 6 month Fixed-Term) Be part of Ballance’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) programme Lead the organisation’s greenhouse gas (GHG) inventoryprocess 20 hours per week ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for an ESG Analyst to support Ballance's environmental, social and governance (ESG) programme, with a particular focus on leading our greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory process and supporting wider sustainability initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical capability who enjoys working across a business to turn complex data into meaningful insights. In this role you will: Lead the annual GHG inventory process, ensuring emissions data is accurate, auditable and fit for reporting requirements. Co-ordinate ESG and emissions data collection across multiple business functions and external partners. Analyse and provide insights to support ESG reporting, disclosures and business decision-making. Monitor regulatory developments, emerging sustainability standards and climate-related trends. Support ESG projects and initiatives that contribute to Ballance's sustainability objectives. ABOUT YOU You are an organised and collaborative professional with experience managing complex datasets and reporting processes. You can build strong relationships across a business, communicate technical information clearly, and have a genuine interest in sustainability and ESG outcomes. To be considered for this role, you will have: Experience working with data systems and reporting tools, including environmental, sustainability or financial datasets. Practical experience measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions using recognised carbon accounting frameworks. Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy. Experience managing information from multiple stakeholders and maintaining audit-ready documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to a range of audiences. A proactive, curious and continuous improvement mindset. Experience with ESG reporting frameworks, sustainability disclosures or emerging climate-related reporting requirements is preferred.
