Scenic Hotel Group – Dunedin, South Island Hotel: Scenic Hotel Dunedin City Location: 123 Princes St Dunedin Employment Type: Full-Time, permanent waged role. Monday to Sunday. Hours: 30 hours guaranteed per week Shifts: Roster is over 7-days (07:00am - 15:30pm & 14:30 - 11:00pm) depending on business needs. This is a diverse role that encompasses the responsibility of daily operations, guest services and staff management, requiring excellent communication skills and an eye for detail. The successful applicant must have the ability to work efficiently both autonomously and as part of a team. Sound interpersonal and organisational skills are required, along with strong cash handling and time management skills. Your Role: What You'll Do and Your Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations of the hotel. Supervise and oversee reception shifts, greeting guests. Handle guest check-ins and check-outs. Respond to guest inquiries and requests. Provide local tourism information and arrange tours/transportation. Ensure hotel and guest security. Report incidents or concerns to Managers. Handle cash and credit transactions. Ensure compliance with alcohol regulations. Liaise with other departments for special requirements. Assist other hotel departments as needed. Provide leadership in the Front Office department. Manage reservations and oversee Front Office tasks. Preferred Skills and Experience: 1 years + experience in a similar role a must. Current LCQ License (Required) Obtaining and maintaining a current General Manager's Certificate as required under the Sale of Liquor At 1989. (Required) Excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing) Computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems quickly Why Choose Scenic Hotel Group?
