Rerenga Awa | The Youth Workers Collective of Waitaha works collaboratively to strengthen the youth development sector to meet the needs of young people. We are looking for a Coordinator to support our trainings, networks, events, and communications. About the Role The Coordinator plays a key role in keeping the organisation connected and running smoothly. This includes coordinating events and trainings, managing communications (website, newsletter, resources), and providing admin support to staff, networks, and members. Key Responsibilities Coordinate trainings, networking events, and Big Events (venues, catering, logistics). Maintain event calendar and support membership processes. Manage and update website content. Compile and send the fortnightly e-newsletter. Provide admin and coordination support for networks (Rainbow, CONNECT, Pasifika). Attend and support public events as part of the Rerenga Awa team. Maintain training resources and support printing/resource prep. Track receipts and provide finance documentation to Manager. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is organised, collaborative, and confident working with diverse people and organisations. You will need strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. A willingness to grow cultural competency is essential. This includes opportunities for te reo Māori learning and building understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice. You don’t need to be an expert - what’s important is your willingness to learn, knowing you will be supported in this journey. Experience in the youth development sector is desirable. Must have the right to work in New Zealand. Will be required to have a vulnerable children’s Police check. Why Join Us?
