Today, we're known for quality products, trusted advice and outstanding customer service across every market we serve We're looking for a practical, people-focused Sales Consultant to join our Small-Mid Ag & Turf team in our Greymouth or Nelson Branch. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who knows farming or machinery and is ready for a new challenge. Whether you've been working on the tools, operating machinery, servicing equipment or farming yourself, we'll give you the training, mentoring and support to build a successful career in sales. You'll inherit an established customer base, represent the world-leading John Deere brand and help farmers find the right equipment to improve their businesses. About the role This role is about building relationships, understanding customers' businesses and helping them make the right decisions. You'll: Work with an established portfolio of loyal customers across both regions. Build trusted long-term relationships with farmers and rural businesses. Help customers choose the right John Deere tractors and equipment for their operation. Demonstrate equipment and support customer field days and events. Identify opportunities to grow your customer base and develop new business. Keep in regular contact with customers, providing practical advice and ongoing support. Manage your sales activity and customer information using our CRM systems. You’ll be backed by an experienced Sales Manager, a supportive Branch Manager and a business that's genuinely invested in helping you succeed. About you We're more interested in your attitude and industry knowledge than whether you've worked in sales before. You’ll bring: 5+ years hands-on proven experience in agriculture, rural contracting, agricultural machinery or a related industry. Practical knowledge of tractors or agricultural equipment. Confidence building relationships and communicating with a wide range of people. Strong organisational skills and the motivation to follow through.
