Role Summary We are seeking a proactive Scientific Customer Service & Internal Sales Representative to join our team in a flexible, hybrid capacity. This dynamic role perfectly blends technical customer support with strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. You must have a great team culture, be honest, and enjoy working with customers and the people areound you. Key Responsibilities Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries, resolving concerns via phone, email, and live chat while maintaining detailed records in the CRM. Order Management: Process customer orders efficiently and provide accurate lead times and stock availability. Sales Growth: Respond to inbound queries, identify and qualify new leads, nurture existing accounts, and cross-sell products tailored to client needs. Technical Quoting: Prepare, send, and follow up on accurate quotes for scientific equipment, spare parts, and consumables. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with field sales and logistics teams to coordinate orders and support overall business development goals. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in scientific customer service, internal sales, or a laboratory environment. Communication: Strong ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse clients. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and standard ERP software. Soft Skills: Problem-solving, time management, and organisational skills. Mindset: Energetic, goal-oriented, and resilient when handling conflict or rejections. Driver's License: A clean New Zealand driver's license is required.
