About the Role Based in Keneperu, you'll spend most of your time connecting with customers by phone and email, building relationships with chefs, distributors and foodservice operators across New Zealand- focussing on the Christchurch and less frequently, the wider South Island. You’ll maintain regular contact with existing customers, introduce new products, organise samples, support distributor representatives and help customers discover where Wild Chef products can add value to their menus. Relationship building is at the heart of everything they do. Throughout the year you’ll also travel around New Zealand, visiting customers, attending trade shows and supporting distributor events. Travel typically involves about 60 days in the field a year, including travel during busy trade show periods. No two days are the same. Representing Wild Chef at trade events, shows and tastings nationwide is shared by the team and planned in advance. What you’ll be doing Build and maintain strong genuine relationships with distributors and end-users Keep in regular contact with customers by phone and follow up emails. Introduce new products and organise customer samples. Work alongside our Marketing and Product Development teams by sharing customer feedback and market insight- bringing customer feedback to life. Keep customer records and activity up to date in our CRM. Be an enthusiastic ambassador for the Wild Chef brand. What You’ll Bring You don't need to be a seasoned salesperson. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, great communication skills and a genuine passion for building relationships.
