Hydraulic Sales and Service Technician

Hydraulink Thames is seeking a motivated and mechanically minded Hydraulic Sales & Service Technician to join our team. Working from a fully equipped service vehicle, you'll provide hydraulic hose and fitting services, breakdown support, and hydraulic ram repairs to customers throughout the Thames and Coromandel region. Key responsibilities Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic hoses, fittings, and assemblies Hydraulic ram (cylinder) strip-downs, repairs, resealing, and testing Providing on-site breakdown and mobile hydraulic services Fault finding and problem solving for customer equipment Building and maintaining strong customer relationships Identifying sales opportunities and promoting Hydraulink products and services Participating in an on-call roster Assisting with workshop duties as required About you Mechanical or engineering experience, preferably in hydraulics, heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural, or engineering industries Strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage your workload Excellent customer service and communication skills Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence Commitment to health and safety Reliable, honest, and self-motivated attitude NZ residency, valid work visa, or legal right to work in New Zealand About us Hydraulink Thames is a locally owned and operated business providing hydraulic hose services, fittings, components, breakdown support, and hydraulic ram repairs to customers across the Thames and Coromandel region.
