Training Specialist - Terminal Operations Port of Tauranga is seeking an experienced Training Specialist - Container Terminal Operations to develop and deliver operational training programmes across Tauranga Container Terminal (TCT). This is an exciting opportunity to shape how our people learn, develop and perform in a dynamic, highly automated and safety-critical environment. About the Role Reporting to the Terminal Operations Manager , you will develop, deliver and continuously improve training content, learning pathways and operational procedures that support workforce capability across the Container Terminal. Working closely with Operations, Vessel Planning, Health & Safety, People & Capability, Digital Services and Automation teams, you will ensure training programmes are consistent, effective and aligned with organisational learning objectives. Key responsibilities include: Developing and delivering operational training programmes across Container Terminal Operations. Creating learning pathways, procedures and training materials that support onboarding and workforce capability. Facilitating engaging training sessions for employees, contractors and stakeholders. Supporting the implementation of new systems, technology and automation initiatives through training and documentation. Partnering with operational leaders to identify capability gaps and drive continuous improvement. Ensuring training content meets health, safety and compliance requirements. About You We're looking for someone who combines strong operational knowledge with a passion for learning, coaching and capability development. You will bring: Experience in container terminal operations, vessel planning, stevedoring or a similar operational environment. Proven experience developing and delivering training programmes and operational documentation. Strong facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills. An understanding of adult learning principles and workforce development practices. Experience supporting operational systems, technology or process change initiatives. A strong commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement. Experience with N4, XPS or similar terminal operating systems would be advantageous.
