Location:Queenstown & Queenstown Lakes Employment:Full-time, permanent We're recruiting on behalf of an established fire protection business seeking a highly experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to join their team and take ownership of installation projects throughout the Queenstown Lakes region. This is a hands-on, senior-level opportunity for someone who knows fire alarm installation inside and out and has the confidence to lead a job from start to finish. You'll be expected to work independently, coordinate with clients and other trades, and take responsibility for delivering quality work on site. The company will provide training around its own systems, processes and way of working, but strong industry experience is non-negotiable. The Role Install, test and commission fire alarm systems across commercial and industrial projects Take ownership of jobs from commencement through to completion Lead installation work and coordinate with other trades on site Read and interpret fire alarm, electrical and construction drawings Complete cabling, termination and installation of fire alarm devices and equipment Carry out testing, fault finding and troubleshooting Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and documentation Communicate confidently with clients, contractors and project teams Work independently while providing leadership and support where required What We're Looking For Significant experience in fire alarm installation - this is essential Proven ability to confidently lead and own a job Strong practical understanding of fire alarm systems and installation Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills Clear, confident communication skills Commercial and/or industrial fire alarm experience Someone who is organised, reliable and takes pride in their work Relevant fire alarm or electrical qualifications are an advantage, but experience is the major factor Full NZ driver's licence What's On Offer Full-time, permanent position based in Queenstown Work across the Queenstown Lakes region Competitive remuneration based on experience Variety of commercial and industrial projects Training in the company's systems and processes The opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects Long-term career opportunity with an established business Ready for Your Next Challenge?
