Carpenters

Carters Christchurch Manufacturing is seeking trade certified Carpenters with a minimum 12 months of pre-nail industry experience to work in our Frame and Truss Manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for fabricating frames, trusses, and cassette flooring, meeting precise measurements and specifications from technical drawings for our valued building trade customers whilst adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Essential skills and experience Trade certificate or diploma (ANZSCO Level 3/NZQF Level 4) or 2 years proven work experience as a Carpenter or equivalent is essential A minimum of 12 months experience of working in the pre-nail industry Experience in interpreting building technical drawings and specifications Proficient in cutting materials, assembling, and fastening shaped parts Dependable and punctual Comfortable with basic computer operations Strong communication abilities Physically capable of manual labour, as the role involves handling materials. Positive attitude and eagerness to acquire new skills Ability to clear pre-employment medical and drug screening What we are offering Hourly Rate - $28.00 - $30.00 per hour Permanent full-time employment on our Evening shift, a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and Saturday if required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
