Turn pricing insight into decisions that strengthen client value and commercial performance. We're looking for a commercially minded Pricing Specialist to take ownership of Wealth Management pricing initiatives from analysis and design through to implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement. This is a visible, hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear recommendations—and then making those recommendations happen. About the role Reporting to the Senior Manager – Product & Strategy, you'll translate pricing strategy into practical frameworks, trusted reporting and measurable business outcomes. You'll work closely with Wealth Management leaders, Advisers and shared-service teams to ensure pricing decisions are consistent, transparent and aligned with client outcomes, the value we deliver and the firm's commercial objectives. You'll have genuine end-to-end ownership across defined and evolving workstreams, with the scope to bring structure, challenge assumptions and improve how we work. Why work for us? With 26 offices stretching from Whangarei to Invercargill, Forsyth Barr offers staff work that is diverse and challenging to bring their best qualities to the fore. Ongoing professional development, work-life balance, competitive remuneration packages and medical insurance are just some of the other benefits we extend to our staff. What you'll own Pricing initiatives. Shape and deliver the Wealth Management pricing initiatives roadmap, from problem definition and analysis through to implementation and benefits tracking. Frameworks and governance. Develop practical pricing principles, methodologies, guardrails, approval authorities and review cycles, while keeping exceptions and legacy arrangements visible and controlled. Commercial insight. Analyse fee structures, brokerage, transaction costs, revenue yield, service mix, margin and cost-to-serve across services, client segments and Adviser Teams. Trusted data and reporting. Define clear metrics and data requirements, strengthen controls and work across the firm to deliver accurate, reconciled and timely dashboards and reporting. Implementation. Translate approved changes into processes, system requirements, documentation and controls; coordinate testing, communications, training and rollout. Stakeholder engagement. Facilitate workshops, prepare decision papers and help stakeholders understand and adopt pricing frameworks, tools and changes. Continuous improvement. Monitor market practice, regulatory expectations and client needs, and identify opportunities to simplify, automate and continuously improve. What you'll bring Three to five years' experience in pricing, commercial analysis, business performance, finance, product, strategy or business analysis. Financial services experience is essential; exposure to wealth management, investment platforms, financial advice, pricing, revenue management or cross‑functional change delivery would be valuable. A bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Commerce, Data Analytics or a related field. The New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) is desirable. Strong numerical and analytical capability, including financial modelling, and the judgement to turn insight into practical recommendations. Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint—with practical experience in reporting and analysis tools such as Power BI, Databricks or SQL. Confidence using generative AI tools to improve analysis and productivity. Clear, concise communication and the ability to build trusted relationships and influence diverse stakeholder groups. A client‑focused, commercially minded approach, strong attention to detail and a sound control mindset. Comfort with ambiguity, competing priorities and confidential information, backed by ownership, resilience and proactive follow-through. Who are we?
