The Partnerships Coordinator is a key support role within the Mission Ready partnerships team, reporting directly to the Partnerships Manager. This role sits at the intersection of candidate success and industry engagement — you'll help place candidates into work experience and employment, support them through the job search journey after they graduate, and bring the Mission Ready community together through quarterly events that build our brand and create real value for our people. Key responsibilities Source and match work experience and employment opportunities for Mission Ready candidates Support the Partnerships Manager to manage and grow relationships with industry partners and Mission Sponsors Coordinate the candidate–employer matching process end to end, from identifying vacancies through to placement confirmation and follow-up Assist with Mission Sponsor briefing and onboarding for mentored work experience programmes Maintain accurate placement records and employment status tracking in the candidate database Follow up with employer's post-placement to ensure a positive experience on both sides Work directly with candidates who have completed their work experience to support their job search journey Assist candidates with CV preparation, LinkedIn profiles, interview readiness, and employer outreach Plan and execute quarterly Mission Ready events, career expos, networking evenings, employer panels, and alumni showcases Maintain and update the candidate and employer database with accuracy and consistency About you 1–2 years' experience in a coordination, account management, recruitment, or community-facing role Strong relationship and communication skills — you can connect with candidates, employers, and partners with ease Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once Confident planning and delivering events, both in person and online Comfortable working with databases and preparing clear, concise reports A genuine passion for people and career development Experience working with diverse communities or populations is a strong advantage An understanding of the tertiary education or training sector is helpful but not essential Knowledge of the tech industry or IT sector is an advantage NZ Residence, Citizenship, or a valid work visa is required About us At Mission Ready HQ, we're on a mission to get passionate people into the tech industry faster and more inclusively than ever before.
