Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Burgs Digital is seeking a creative and strategic social media and Account Manager to lead client accounts across both organic social media and paid advertising. This is a dual role - you will manage client relationships end-to-end, develop and execute social strategies, and support the reporting and performance oversight for a portfolio of clients. You will act as the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring all content and campaigns are aligned with brand objectives and delivering results. This role suits someone who is equally comfortable building a content calendar and interpreting performance data. We're a fun, close-knit, young team with a hybrid working setup - we move fast, back each other, and genuinely enjoy what we do. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Client Management & Communication Maintain communication with clients, providing updates, recommendations, and ongoing support. Lead client discovery meetings to understand business goals, target audiences, and marketing objectives. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive account management. Present social media and paid advertising performance reports with clear insights and strategic recommendations in regular client meetings. Develop discovery and social media strategy documents for new and existing clients. Create and manage content calendars, ensuring content is organised, scheduled, and aligned with strategic objectives. Collaborate with the ads team on paid advertising strategies, contributing client knowledge around goals, audiences, and priorities. Monitor campaign performance across both organic and paid channels. Content Production & Creative Direction Script, plan, and direct content shoots, ensuring all creative assets align with client objectives and brand guidelines. Manage client shoot bookings and coordinate production logistics. Review and approve content internally before client review and approval. Create engaging static content, carousel posts, captions, and supporting creative assets for both organic and paid use. Social Media Management Schedule, publish, and manage content across multiple social media platforms. Ensure content is delivered on time and maintains a high standard of quality and brand consistency. Monitor platform performance and engagement metrics to inform future content and paid strategies. Identify and leverage relevant trends to maximise reach, engagement, and audience growth. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, or account management — ideally in an agency environment. A solid understanding of Meta Ads — you don't need to build campaigns, but you need to know what the numbers mean and whether a campaign is performing. Strong understanding of social media platforms, content strategy, and audience growth. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate performance data into clear client-facing insights. Experience directing content shoots and managing creative production workflows. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously. Understanding of AI search optimisation best practices. Proficiency with social media scheduling, reporting, and analytics tools. Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail. WHAT WE OFFER - BURGS PERKS A hybrid working setup - flexibility to work from home and in-office. A young, supportive team culture where good work is recognised and the environment is genuinely enjoyable. Quarterly team bonding events. Laptop Real variety in your day-to-day across industries, clients, and content types. The chance to grow with an agency that's scaling fast. #J-18808-Ljbffr
