Beyond Recruitment – Wellington, North Island We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Payroll Specialist to join a large and complex organisation, supporting critical payroll, HR, and time management systems. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in both business-as-usual support and strategic payroll initiatives within a highly collaborative environment. About the Role Working within a specialist systems team, you will provide expert SAP Payroll and HR support, ensuring payroll solutions remain compliant, efficient, and aligned with business requirements. You will be responsible for driving system enhancements, supporting payroll updates, and providing technical expertise across SAP Payroll, HR, and Time Management modules. Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain payroll configuration changes, including wage types, schemas, and payroll rules. Support SAP HR, Payroll, and Time Management solutions. Apply system updates, enhancements, and compliance-related changes. Manage complex incidents, troubleshoot issues, and provide Level 2 and 3 support. Support system integration, configuration, and design activities. Work closely with stakeholders across payroll, HR, finance, and technology teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes and system performance. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Extensive experience in senior SAP Payroll and HR positions. Strong technical and functional expertise across SAP HCM Payroll and Time Management. Demonstrated experience supporting payroll systems in large, complex environments. Sound knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation, policy, and operational payroll practices. Experience with payroll schemas, rules, interfaces, and payroll-related integrations. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Experience working within project delivery environments using Agile and/or waterfall methodologies. Desirable Experience SAP ABAP payroll development exposure. Personnel Administration (PA) and Organisational Management (OM) configuration knowledge.
