Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. MOVe Logistics Group is one of New Zealand’s most trusted and leading transport and logistics companies, proudly listed on the NZSX. With over 150 years of experience supporting New Zealand’s supply chain, we’ve grown into a nationwide network of practical, hardworking people who keep freight moving safely and efficiently every day. We’re looking for a hands-on Floor Dispatcher to join our Freight team. This role would suit an experienced forklift operator who understands freight, enjoys being part of a busy depot environment, and is ready to take the next step into dispatch, coordination, and transport operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build on their practical floor experience, develop their dispatch skills, and grow their career within a well-established nationwide transport and logistics business. About the Role: As a Floor Dispatcher, you will help coordinate freight movement across the depot, working closely with drivers, forklift operators, loaders, dispatchers, and operations teams to make sure freight is loaded, moved, and dispatched safely, accurately, and on time. You will use your on-floor freight knowledge to support daily planning, prioritise work, communicate changes, and help keep the operation running smoothly. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a forklift operator, freight handler, loader, storeperson, or similar role within transport, freight, warehousing, or logistics. A good understanding of freight movement, loading and unloading, depot flow, freight priorities, and how busy transport operations work day to day. Confidence communicating with drivers, forklift operators, loaders, dispatchers, customers, and internal teams. The ability to stay calm, make practical decisions, and think on your feet when priorities change or pressure increases. Strong attention to detail, including accurate freight counts, paperwork, load information, and communication. Good geographical knowledge of the local region and wider New Zealand, or a willingness to keep developing this knowledge. A practical, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to prioritise competing demands in a fast-moving environment. A strong team focus, positive attitude, and willingness to learn from experienced transport and dispatch team members. Experience working in a freight, transport, logistics, depot, or warehouse environment. A current forklift licence, with OSH and F endorsement preferred. What We Offer: A positive, supportive, and professional work environment. Competitive salary aligned with your skills and experience. Training, support, and opportunities to grow your career in transport and dispatch. If you’re an experienced forklift operator or hands-on freight team member who is ready to step up, learn dispatch, and build a long-term career in the transport industry, we’d like to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
