Abot the Role The Hutt Valley Community Health TeamService has an exciting opportunity for an innovative Mātanga Tapuhi NursePractitioner (NP) position or a NP Candidacy to registration for this area ofpractice. As aNurse Practitioner, you will provide independent, accessible, and high-qualitynursing care that is fully integrated across mental health and addictionservices, with strong partnerships across primary, hospital, and specialistcare settings. You will provide expert clinical leadership to support improvedoutcomes for adults accessing mental health and addiction services, with a aparticular focus on care transitions and continuity of care. About you We are lookingfor the following experience and professional requirements: ClinicalNursing Masters including or additional NP required practicum course/s (60credits) Will have a provenexperience and evidence of advanced mental health nursing expertise. Be able to work as an autonomous practitioner who worksindependently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams (MDT) Has experience inleadership,coachingand mentoring approaches Excellentcommunication, interpersonal and facilitation skills Experience inpractice development and quality improvement strategies Thorough understanding of the Mental Health Act. We are looking for a recognised advanced practice nurse that has apassion for ongoing learning and the ability to adapt to work effectively withdifferent learning experiences. You will need: Registered Nurse(RN) and a current practising certificate with no restrictions from the NCNZ At least three - four years relevantexpertise clinical experience and working at an advanced RN practicelevelaligning. Expert or Senior levelon the Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) A ClinicalMasters or the prerequisites postgraduate courses (120 Credits) to meet therequirements to undertake the NP postgraduate practicum course/s enabling applicationon to the national Nurse Practitioner Training Support Scheme (NPTSS).
