Sales Representative – Electrical Wholesale Advance Electrical Wholesalers – Manawatu County An External Sales Representative role focused on building strong relationships with existing customers, developing new business and helping electrical, data, security and trade customers find the right products and solutions. Key responsibilities Managing and growing existing customer accounts Identifying new business opportunities across Palmerston North and the wider Manawatū area Building relationships with electricians, contractors, and other trade customers Understanding customer needs and recommending practical product and service solutions Working towards agreed sales, margin and customer service targets Managing customer enquiries and resolving issues promptly Keeping up to date with products, market conditions and industry developments Supporting sales promotions, presentations and proposals Working closely with branch teams, internal sales, suppliers, marketing and head office Maintaining and operating a company vehicle in line with company policy About you Experience in external sales, account management or business development Strong customer service, communication and relationship-building skills A consultative and solutions-focused approach to sales Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good computer skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office and mobile technology Understanding of health and safety when visiting customer sites and operating vehicles A current full driver's licence Eligibility to work in New Zealand Flexibility to work rostered Saturdays Company vehicle Private health insurance Top half uniform provided Ongoing product, industry and sales development Laptop, mobile phone and other technology as agreed Be part of the Powerbase group, New Zealand's largest independent electrical wholesaler network About us Advance Electrical Wholesalers is a locally owned, branch-led electrical wholesaler with seven branches across the lower North Island: Lower Hutt, Wellington, Porirua, Upper Hutt, Manawatū, Kāpiti and Horowhenua.
