We provide Signals Intelligence and Cyber Security and resilience to organisations of national significance to successfully navigate in an unpredictable world. The role Lead the development and delivery of services that measure and uplift cyber resilience across New Zealand’s most critical sectors. You will bridge the gap between technical vulnerability insights and strategic partnerships, ensuring that high-grade intelligence from our cyber defenders is translated into actionable advice for the organisations that underpin the New Zealand economy. Key responsibilities You will manage a diverse unit of technical specialists and relationship managers to create a comprehensive picture of national resilience. Your focus will be on: Overseeing partnerships with trusted sector groups—including energy, water, telecommunications, and universities to drive collaborative security uplift. Leading the analysis and reporting function to scan systems for vulnerabilities and derive the insights necessary for effective stakeholder engagement. Managing the delivery of technical vulnerability scanning and ensuring the insights derived are effectively transitioned into advice for our customers. Managing the unit's operational and capital budgets while ensuring the team's work programme aligns with the wider NCSC strategic roadmap. Who we’re looking for We are looking for a strategic leader who can navigate the space between deep technical scanning and high-level sector partnership. You should possess: Proven experience managing diverse teams, including technical specialists and relationship leads. A strong understanding of measurement, data, and insights disciplines, with the ability to turn technical vulnerabilities into strategic resilience plans. The ability to build trust and foster partnerships with critical infrastructure providers and industry leaders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to represent complex issues with stakeholders to form consensus.
