The Palms Medical Centre – Manawatu County At The Palms you’ll be joining a large, well-established practice where you’ll work with an experienced multidisciplinary team in a role that offers variety, professional satisfaction and opportunities to further develop your skills. Key responsibilities Demonstrate competence and application of relevant clinical skills Undertake triage in a safe and competent way Undertake thorough health assessments and health education and promotion Ensure documentation standards are met (including use of IT/Indici) Evaluate and adjust care as necessary Work to enhance patients' understanding of their health issues and ways they can positively work to improve their health and maintain their wellness Liaise with Providers, pharmacy, Ambulance, laboratory, and other health professionals to ensure that patients' health needs are met Assist patients and their families to make informed decisions by using expert communication skills, including shared decision making Understand, promote and meet the cultural, spiritual and wellness needs of patients About you You will be a motivated Registered Nurse who enjoys working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will have: Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand Current Annual Practising Certificate with no restrictions Eligibility to work in New Zealand Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Sound clinical judgement and decision-making skills Good computer literacy, including electronic patient management systems (e.g. Indici or similar) Commitment to ongoing professional development Alignment with The Palms' values and commitment to equitable healthcare About us The Palms Medical Centre is one of the Manawatū’s largest integrated primary care practices, providing comprehensive healthcare to more than 17,500 enrolled patients.
