Food and Beverage Team Leader (Banquets) - Part Time (Please note that you must already have work rights in New Zealand to be considered for this role) As a Team Leader, you will help coordinate the day‑to‑day operation of functions and events, ensuring every detail is delivered to a high standard. You will lead from the floor, provide clear direction to Food & Beverage Attendants and work closely with the Banquets Manager, kitchen, Events team, Stewarding and other hotel departments. From room setup and pre‑service briefings through to guest service and pack‑down, you will help ensure each event runs seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include: Assist in leading pre‑service briefings and communicating event requirements Allocating tasks and coordinating colleagues throughout each function Overseeing event setup, food and beverage service, resets and pack‑downs Ensuring function sheets, timing, dietary requirements and special requests are followed Maintaining presentation, service and cleanliness standards Supporting the smooth delivery of conferences, weddings, dinners and special events Anticipating guest needs and resolving concerns professionally Working closely with the kitchen and other departments to maintain event timing Coaching colleagues and providing practical support during busy services Completing opening and closing procedures Ensuring food safety, HACCP, health and safety, and hotel procedures are followed What We’re Looking For You will be a confident hospitality professional who enjoys the pace, variety and teamwork involved in delivering successful events.
