Geneva Wellbeing is seeking a motivated clinician to provide contractor vocational rehabilitation services Invercargill and Wider Southland (Gore District coverage preferred) . This is an excellent opportunity for an established contractor, private practitioner or experienced clinician looking to expand their work in vocational rehabilitation while maintaining flexibility around their existing commitments. About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga As a Vocational Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist contractor, you will manage an agreed caseload across Gore, Invercargill and the wider Southland region. Your focus will be on identifying the physical, psychosocial, organisational and environmental barriers affecting a client's ability to work. You will partner with clients, employers, ACC case managers and other health professionals to develop practical recommendations that support safe and sustainable vocational outcomes. Your work may include: Stay at Work and Back to Work services Vocational and workplace assessments Worksite visits and job task analysis Ergonomic and workstation assessments Work readiness assessments Functional capacity evaluations within your professional scope Return-to-work planning and rehabilitation recommendations Private insurer and third-party vocational rehabilitation services Liaison with clients, employers, case managers and treating providers Completing clear, evidence-based vocational rehabilitation reports You will work autonomously in the community while remaining connected to the wider Workplace Wellbeing team for clinical support, collaboration and guidance. As this is a contractor opportunity, the volume of work will depend on referral availability and is not guaranteed as a set FTE. What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga To be successful, you will have: A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Current New Zealand professional registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate Experience in vocational rehabilitation, occupational rehabilitation or workplace-based rehabilitation Knowledge of ACC vocational rehabilitation services and contractual requirements The ability to assess barriers affecting work participation and sustainable return-to-work outcomes Strong clinical reasoning and vocational report-writing skills Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities Confidence working independently across workplace and community settings An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to culturally safe practice A current full New Zealand driver licence and the ability to travel throughout Southland Eligibility to work in New Zealand Why contract with us? | He aha ai mātou?
