Dairy Farm Assistant Needed in Aparima (REC-DFA-NM) Frenz Recruitment – Southland District, South Island We’re on the lookout for a motivated Dairy Farm Assistant to join our client’s friendly team on a 700 and 450-cow farm. Experience is preferred but not required for this role. The farm milks through a 46 Aside Herringbone shed and offer a wide variety of daily tasks to keep you learning and engaged, including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding virtual fencing/Halter, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 55. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid at the agreed overtime rate. The schedule may vary; Roster will be 5 days on, 2 days off or 10 days on, 4 days off. Wage ranges from $26.00 – $28.00, depending on experience.
