Head Medical is seeking motivated Post-Foundation Doctors for Obstetrics & Gynaecology positions in Hamilton, New Zealand. City lifestyle, just 90 minutes south of Auckland Tertiary referral centre and large teaching hospital (600 bed) Enjoy restaurants and cafes, arts and culture, major sporting events Easy access to the rest of the North Island, beautiful beaches, national parks, lakes and mountains 12 month contract - August 2026 commencement Salary $106,672 - $121,920 NZD per annum ( RDA agreement ) The Role The Hospital in Hamilton is one of the largest tertiary teaching hospitals with over 600 inpatient beds and 22 operating theatres and provides local services for a population of 200,000 and tertiary services for a region of 700,000. Waikato serves the largest Māori population and third largest Pacific population in Aotearoa New Zealand. Clinical specialities include Women’s and Children Services, Cardiology / Cardiothoracic Surgery, Oncology and Haematology, Surgical services, and Mental Health and Addiction. The Hospital is the Midland regional referral centre for multiple specialties including trauma surgery, oncology, and neurology. The Woman’s Health Service at prides itself on service delivery and development and strives to become best Women’s Health Service in New Zealand. You will work as part of a team of 16 where multi-disciplinary teamwork is essential.
