We are a well-established used vehicle dealership based in Wellington and Christchurch, specialising in quality pre‑owned vehicle sales, vehicle servicing, repairs, and after‑sales support. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable vehicles and exceptional customer service. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth in our Wellington store. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate and manage the vehicle sales team to achieve sales targets and business objectives. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase vehicle sales, profitability and customer satisfaction. Monitor daily sales performance and prepare regular sales reports for management. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Oversee the entire vehicle sales process, from customer enquiries through to vehicle delivery. Manage vehicle inventory, ensuring appropriate stock levels and coordinating with management on purchasing decisions. Work closely with the service department to ensure seamless after‑sales support and customer satisfaction. Train, coach and mentor sales staff to improve product knowledge, customer service and sales performance. Ensure compliance with New Zealand consumer protection legislation, company policies and industry best practices. Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues in a timely manner. Identify new business opportunities through local marketing initiatives, referrals and community engagement. Monitor market trends, competitor activities and pricing to maximise sales opportunities. Skills and Experience 2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification or a Bachelor Degree in any field Proven experience in automotive sales, with previous supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship management abilities. Sound understanding of used vehicle sales practices and customer service principles. Ability to analyse sales data and implement effective sales strategies. Good organisational and problem‑solving skills.
