Key Responsibilities Operate Class 5 trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods throughout the Hawke's Bay region and other locations as required. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight in accordance with company procedures and health and safety requirements. Plan delivery routes and ensure timely collection and delivery of goods. Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements. Ensure all freight is transported securely to prevent damage during transit. Complete delivery documentation, logbooks, and other transport records accurately. Comply with all New Zealand road transport regulations, company policies, and health and safety procedures. Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles. Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members. Provide professional and courteous customer service at all delivery and collection points. Skills and Experience A current and valid New Zealand Class 5 Driver Licence (or an equivalent overseas licence that can be converted to a New Zealand licence). One year experience driving heavy vehicles. To be able to clear drug test and Clean Character background check. A clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices are highly desirable.
