Solway Vision Limited – Bombay, North Island We are a small residential disability support service in the Franklin area offering long term care with 24-hour support. All residents have complex needs and require a high level of support, and supervision at home and out in the community. We aim to create a warm family environment with our philosophy of love dignity and respect. We are seeking a Service Manager who can not only provide the practical skills required, but also someone who aligns with our philosophy. You would be responsible for · Supporting support staff by ensuring they have clear expectations and the skills and knowledge to deliver a quality service to the people they are supporting. · Coordinating the effective day to day running of houses and staff · To participate in ‘on call’ rosters · Ensuring training and compliance for staff, houses, and residents are in order and up-to-date · Consistently looking at ways to improve the quality of our service · Ensuring effective ongoing relationships with families and other stakeholders as applicable · Following and role modelling Solway Vision’s policies and procedures Skills required Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 7) e.g. bachelors in management, nursing, social services, psychology, or occupational therapy · Self-motivated, able to time manage and meet deadlines · Flexibility and ability to multi-task · Maintain a calm and positive attitude under stress · Forward thinking and great problem-solving skills · Fantastic communication, report writing and presentation skills · Approachability, honesty, and loyalty · Ability to build effective relationships both within and outside the organization · A proven ability to lead, coach, and support/manage a team of people to achieve quality based outcomes · Knowledge and skill to use computers and related technology efficiently · A genuine commitment to respecting the rights of people with intellectual disabilities · Previous experience working in the disability/dual diagnosis/mental health, residential sector · Full New Zealand licence Although these are not required, the following experience would be advantageous in the recruitment process · Management experience · Certificates in First Aid/CPI/NZ health (Level 2, 3, 4) If this sounds like you and If you are interested in joining our Solway Vision Family, please send your cover letter and CV to the following email: *****@solwayvision.co.nz Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
