This exciting fixed-term (18 months), full-time role will be an important member of the Civil Defence Emergency Management (CDEM) team responsible for delivery of comprehensive emergency management across the Waimakariri District. Some key requirements of this position are to manage CDEM volunteers, review operational guidance, and build Council staff capability to deliver effective CDEM functions. In addition, the Emergency Management Advisor will need to: Have strategic development experience and proven experience in operationalizing strategies. Have education or training experience.
