English / Humanities teacher (with leadership potential + extra hours) Part time, Permanent, FTTE up to: 0.8 Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher English, Social sciences Twin Oaks Classical School is seeking an exceptional English and Humanities Teacher to join our growing Diploma Programme from Term 1, 2027. Twin Oaks is a publicly funded, fees-free charter school in Auckland offering a distinctive blend of Classical and Charlotte Mason education. We are building a unique senior programme designed to cultivate wisdom, virtue and wonder in the lives of young people. This is not a traditional secondary teaching role.Initially, you will teach our first Year 10 Diploma class as a classroom teacher rather than a subject specialist. While bringing expertise in English and Humanities, you will also teach across other areas of an integrated liberal arts curriculum. You will be well supported by clear curriculum, supportive colleagues and professional development.As the school grows, there will be more opportunities to teach senior students in your specialist subjects and contribute to programme development. For the right candidate, leadership responsibilities are available. This position may suit intermediate or secondary teachers who enjoy working across disciplines and building strong relationships with students. We are looking for a registered teacher who: Can teach science and/or mathematics to a senior level and both to Year 9 and 10 Loves learning and exploring ideas Is willing to embrace a Classical Charlotte Mason teaching style Enjoys working collaboratively Believes education shapes both character and intellect Teaching role is 4 days a week (3 in class, 1 paid release). A fifth day with leadership responsibilities is available for the right person. Experience in Classical, Charlotte Mason or liberal arts education is welcomed but not required.
