You will lead the development of a primary industries programme at JPII. The role involves establishing and growing relationships with external partners and local primary industries leaders, and young farmers, so that our students learn from and connect with the sector directly. We are looking for someone who can turn an emerging pathway into a strong, credible programme that opens real opportunities for our students. What you will do Lead the design and delivery of a Primary Industries programme, including new courses and subjects Build and sustain partnerships with industry, providers and local primary industries leaders Teach across relevant Primary Industries and related subjects Support students to identify and progress along Primary Industries pathways Contribute to the wider life of the school as a Catholic community Registered teacher with a current practising certificate (Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand) Bachelor of Agricultural Science Experience teaching farming or agriculture at secondary or tertiary level in New Zealand Strong connections within the primary industries sector A commitment to living the LIGHT values in your practice and relationships This is a Tagged position Staff are expected to recognise and respect the school’s Catholic special character and be actively involved in the total life of the school, in a manner which respects the religious instruction given and religious observances practiced within the school.
