Is launching a new Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) solution into the Australian and New Zealand markets, and we need an experienced Business Development Manager to drive customer acquisitions, build sales pipelines, and shape the regional growth strategy nationally. The Position This is a new role to drive new business by selling modern digital solutions that help manufacturers improve planning, inventory, production, and daily operations. Based in the Auckland office, we are looking for a professional with a background in manufacturing operations and business systems. Ideal candidates come from an ERP, MRP, PDM/PLM, supply chain, MES, manufacturing software, or consulting background. You'll work with business owners and operational leaders to identify challenges, develop business cases, and deliver solutions that create measurable business value.This new national sales role suits a skilled business development professional with a background in manufacturing software or business consulting. Reporting to the General Manager, you will grow the company presence by finding new business in the manufacturing sector across New Zealand. A strong ability to work well in a team is essential for this role. Your Key Responsibilities: Drive business growth across the manufacturing sector in New Zealand Strong commercial and relationship-building skills to drive revenue growth by actively identifying prospects and expanding your professional network. Meet with company leaders to assess challenges and align growth targets. Promote the company’s MRP software alongside matching tools, expert advice, and setup support Liaise and coordinate with technical consultants and implementation teams to provide the right solutions for customers, Identify avenues to further expand the existing product portfolio and develop new strategic business opportunitiesto cross-sell other products and services to existing customers. Maintain and grow relationships with all current manufacturing customers through regular contact with them. Partner and promote with marketing on campaigns to create new leads Keep customer data, sales forecasts, and activity reports up to date in the CRM. We are looking for: Good understanding of ERP-integrated manufacturing solutions and CAD to ERP integration and BOM management. Experience managing technology and software sales in the industrial and manufacturing sectors. The ability to engage confidently with business owners and operational leaders. Sound knowledge of SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional and PDM Manage. Expertise in DriveWorks Design Automation. Experience in organizing and participating in portfolio-related tradeshows, workshops, and training sessions. Knowing people in the New Zealand manufacturing sector would be a plus. Enthusiastic, engaging, and positive outlook with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Expertise in manufacturing and industrial software solutions, with strong knowledge of ERP, MRP, MES, and Supply Chain Management systems.
