Cafe and Events Assistant

We are currently looking for a part time CaféAssistant to join our Nelson and Richmond Campus Café's. We are looking for an experienced café allrounder with outstanding customer service. We welcome applications from those wanting between 20 and 30 hours per week. You will need to be able to work flexibly on a roster basis, be available Monday - Friday between 7-4pm. Rosters are discussed and agreed two weeks in advance. Extra hours may also be available week to week to cover events, sick days and annual leave. Do you have café experience and want weekends off? Are you self-motivated, outgoing with a commitment to customer services? To be successful in this role you will need: Basic food prep and baking skills Commitment to outstanding customer services Reliable team playerwho is comfortable following instructions and calm under pressure Able to work alone on occasion Cheerful, friendly and professional demeanour when interacting with guests Available to work on the Nelson and Richmond campus when rostered Living wage $29.90 per hour Central city location + access to free onsite parking + good access to public transport + bike racks and showers + close to other facilities Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) is a government owned, NZQA Category One Tertiary Education Institute.
