Academic Staff Member, Nursing and Health Academic Staff Member, Nursing and Health New Plymouth based Join a skilled and supportive team Full-time, fixed-term position covering a period of leave until 27 November 2026, with the possibility of ending earlier should the incumbent return to the role earlier We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to deliver and support the New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 4) programme. Working within a collaborative and learner-focused environment, you will play a key role in facilitating engaging learning experiences, supporting student success and helping ākonga (students) develop the skills and confidence required to thrive in the health and wellbeing sector. About the role: As an Academic Staff Member, you will: Deliver high-quality teaching across the NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4), with a focus on the Social and Community strand (Mental Health and Addiction) Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that supports ākonga achievement Assess student work and provide constructive feedback About you: To be successful in this role, you will have: A relevant qualification at Level 5 or above in Health, Social Services, Community Support, Nursing, Mental Health, Disability Support or a related field Recent industry experience within the health and wellbeing sector A passion for teaching, coaching and supporting adult learners Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organisational and digital literacy skills The ability to work collaboratively while managing your own workload effectively What we offer: At WITT, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that allows you to thrive.
