Fabricator/Welder

GH Engineering is looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Palmerston North. We're a well-equipped Engineering Workshop undertaking a wide range of heavy and light fabrication work. With modern CNC cutting, drilling, and marking equipment, we continue to invest in quality machinery and provide opportunities for our team to develop new skills. About the Role This is a full-time position working between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm , with overtime available after 40 hours. Your day-to-day work will include: Heavy and light fabrication Reading and interpreting workshop drawings Tacking, assembling, and welding fabricated components Working both independently and as part of a team Opportunities to train and operate our CNC cutting, drilling, and marking equipment What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who takes pride in producing quality work and has the experience to work with minimal supervision. Ideally, you'll have: 3+ years' experience in heavy and light fabrication Experience with flux cored (FCAW) and metal cored welding Current or previously held welding tickets Knowledge of SFC standards (preferred) The ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings A strong work ethic with excellent attendance and reliability A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team The confidence to work independently when required Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or hold New Zealand permanent residency and have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
