About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicatedRegistered Nurse (RN) to join our rural health team on the beautiful WestCoast. This is a rewarding and diverse role where you will utilise your nursingexpertise, critical thinking, and judgement to provide safe, person- andwhānau-centred care across a wide range of medical and surgical cases. As part of a small but highly skilled team, youwill practise both independently and collaboratively, supporting patients andtheir families through complex health journeys while role-modelling excellencein rural nursing care. You’ll have the opportunity to: Work across a variety ofclinical contexts in rural practice. Provide comprehensivenursing assessments, implement and evaluate care plans, and deliverhigh-quality evidence-based interventions. Support and guide EnrolledNurses, Health Care Assistants, and others in the delivery of care. Contribute to servicedevelopment and integration of care, aligned with Te Whatu Ora WestCoast’s model of care. Ensure professional,ethical, and culturally safe practice, with a strong commitment toachieving equity of outcomes for Māori and Pacific peoples. About you New Zealand Registered Nursewith current Annual Practising Certificate (no conditions preventingfulfilment of the role). Demonstrated ability to workwithin scope of practice, applying evidence-based knowledge and clinicaljudgement. Completion of, or commitmentto undertake, cultural competency training. Excellent organisational,communication, and documentation skills. Ability and confidence towork with children. Previousmedical, surgical and/ or rehabilitation nursing experience. Current Professional Development andRecognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio. Full, clean NZ driver’s licence.
