About the Role Are you experienced in window furnishings, curtains or blinds and ready to take your skills into a varied sales role across residential and commercial projects? Join Curtain Studio as a Design Consultant, working with customers and clients throughout the Waikato to deliver tailored window furnishing solutions. This is not your typical retail sales role. You'll be out meeting customers and clients, visiting sites, understanding their requirements, measuring, quoting and recommending the right curtains, blinds and window furnishing solutions for their space. Your customers could range from homeowners through to builders, designers, property professionals and commercial clients. You'll manage projects from the initial conversation through to quote, sale and installation, ensuring a great customer experience along the way. There's also a strong relationship-building and business development element to the role. You'll develop connections across the Waikato market, identify new opportunities and build a healthy pipeline of repeat, referral and commercial business. We're ideally looking for someone who already understands the w indow furnishings industry and can bring practical product knowledge alongside strong sales and customer relationship skills. This is a Monday-Friday role covering the Waikato region, with some flexibility required depending on customer and project needs. Key duties and responsibilities Meet with residential and commercial customers to understand their space, requirements and budget Conduct site visits, consultations and accurate measures Recommend tailored curtain, blind and window furnishing solutions Prepare accurate quotes and follow up opportunities to secure sales Build relationships with builders, designers, property professionals and commercial clients Identify and develop new sales opportunities across the Waikato region Manage your own leads, customer relationships and sales pipeline Coordinate projects from initial enquiry through to installation and completion Work closely with installers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver great outcomes Maintain accurate sales documentation and CRM records Consistently work towards sales and gross profit targets You will have Experience within window furnishings, curtains and/or blinds is highly desirable Proven experience in consultative or relationship-based sales Good product knowledge and an understanding of how to translate customer needs into practical window furnishing solutions Confidence conducting site measures and preparing accurate quotes A track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets Strong communication and relationship-building skills Excellent follow-up and attention to detail Good organisation and time management, with the ability to manage multiple customers and projects at once A proactive approach to developing relationships and identifying new opportunities Confidence using systems and CRM A full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence The legal right to work in New Zealand If your background is in a closely related industry such as interiors, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms or other made-to-measure home improvement products, we'd also be interested in hearing from you if you have strong consultative sales and measuring experience.
