Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. We're looking for a People and Culture Coordinator with a can-do attitude, strong organisational skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills — someone who's ready to get stuck in and provide great day-to-day support to our HR, Wellness & Training Manager. This is a part-time, fixed-term role (20–30 hours per week) focused on keeping our people processes running smoothly during a busy period. This is an administrative support role — you'll be helping coordinate and administer training, HR and wellbeing activities, not delivering formal training or acting as an HR practitioner yourself. You'll be well supported by the team. We're after someone reliable and hands-on who can hit the ground running and get the work done. As part of the HR support function, you'll help deliver our goals across the employee life cycle, learning and development, and health, safety and wellbeing — working alongside and reporting to the HR, Wellness & Training Manager. Key responsibilities Being a point of contact for employment and work experience enquiries, and keeping candidates updated on progress Supporting employees through work trials, and coordinating onboarding for those who are successful Assisting with induction and introduction duties, helping new employees feel welcome and familiar with key workplace procedures Maintaining contact with schools, ARA and other referring organisations, and help our HR, Wellness & Training Manager to present Kilmarnock at external talks and expos Coordinating learning programmes and initiatives, and working with employees on their development and training plans Coordinating the initial stage of wage assessments Supporting the Employment Pathway Programme, helping employees prepare to transition into employment outside Kilmarnock Supporting health and safety compliance, including incident reporting, toolbox meetings and refresher training Coordinating and helping deliver health and wellbeing activities, including sessions, speakers and team events Maintaining accurate, confidential employee files and records About you A can-do attitude and willingness to get things done, even when priorities shift Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with maintaining employee records Confidence using new systems, databases and Microsoft Office 365 Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A genuine interest in, and empathy for, supporting people with intellectual disabilities Ability to manage a varied workload Discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential information No formal HR qualification required — we're looking for the right attitude and reliability About us Our purpose is to unlock the potential of people with disabilities, empowering them to lead purposeful lives. We are changing attitudes through education, employment and opportunity — providing a supportive, dynamic and connected environment while achieving sustainable results in a commercial marketplace. At Kilmarnock, we lead from the front; driving an inclusive workplace culture, enabling positive change and partnering with others to do the right thing for our employees. We operate with strong accountability, trust and shared ownership of outcomes. Important Requirements Due to the nature of our work with vulnerable people, a clean police background check is mandatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
