McKenzie & Willis are searching for an experienced Interior Design Consultant, preferably with experience in Curtains and Blinds to join our Hamilton Team. Bring your design expertise and customer-first mindset to a role that is dynamic, challenging and rewarding. What You’ll Be Doing Engaging with clients in-store and in their homes, selling our beautiful range of furniture, fabrics, home linens and beds Providing expert guidance on our extensive range of custom curtains and blinds Working with plans to help bring customer dreams to life Liaising with builders and other trades where required Managing customer relationships from initial consultation through to project completion Creating accurate quotes using our custom pricing software Specifying furniture, wallpapers, bed linen and colours to create the complete look Collaborating with a positive, supportive sales team What You’ll Bring Proven sales experience in interior furnishings, preferably including curtains and blinds Excellent product knowledge and a commitment to continuous learning Understanding of architectural plans Outstanding communication, administration, and organisational abilities Precision and confidence with measurements and numerical details Logical thinking and problem-solving under pressure Professional verbal and written communication skills Strong skills in measuring and specifying window coverings, or a desire to learn An interior design qualification is an advantage, but not a pre-requisite What We Offer Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission Comprehensive training and ongoing support A vibrant, collaborative team culture Opportunities to work on diverse and rewarding design projects Clear career development pathways for the right candidate This is a full‑time position, Tuesday to Saturday.
